When you need a time-zone converter
A call with a colleague in another city, a flight landing, a webinar in “their” afternoon. Type the date and time you have, pick the city it belongs to, then pick the city you care about. The page shows the same moment there.
The list is IANA zones your browser already knows: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, Auckland. Daylight saving is applied by the browser — you do not toggle it.
Nothing is sent to a server. There is no Calculate button.
How the clock is read
The page asks the browser for each city's offset on that date, including daylight saving. You do not set UTC by hand.
How to convert a time between zones
- Type the value: Set the date and the clock you already have — a meeting invite, a boarding pass.
- Pick the source unit: Choose the city that time belongs to, then the city you want to compare.
- Read every conversion: Read the same moment in the other city, plus the hour difference.
Frequently asked questions
Does this handle daylight saving time?
Yes. The browser knows when each city springs forward or falls back. A March date in New York is not the same offset as a January date.
Why not just add or subtract hours?
Because the gap changes with the date and with daylight saving. London and New York are not always five hours apart. Pick the cities and the date; do not add hours by hand.
Is the world clock live?
Yes. The city table refreshes about every 30 seconds. The converter above uses the date and time you typed — that one does not tick.
Can I use this for contracts or aviation?
No. This is a helper for meetings and travel, not legal or dispatch time. Check an official source for contracts or aviation.
